One of the real joys of my position with KidZ at Heart is the privilege of meeting with our global community members who join the community as givers. As we enter a critical time of year for any non-profit ministry’s financial health, I have enjoyed reflecting on the responses I have already received in the past few weeks from those who have stretched to launch our $110,000 year-end campaign with a $70,000 challenge fund to encourage others to join in what God is doing.

One donor said, “We work to make money so we can give to God’s work, and we love what God is doing through KidZ at Heart.”

Another shared that he and his wife know they are blessed and that they have no greater joy than sharing the blessing with people and ministries blessing others.

An early giving community member from my own church, an elderly man in a wheelchair who is now present with the Lord, would frequently stop me at church, hold my hand, look up into my eyes with a smile of joy, and say, “I can’t go, but you can. That’s why I give my $5 each month to KidZ at Heart.”

Money may be a sensitive topic, but in God’s economy, giving is a cheerful and loving expression! As I reflect on those who have given to God’s work, I see great joy in believers who are excited to partner with God by giving a portion of what he has given to them so that we can all take part in his work.

For your own joy this month, for the future of God’s work in KidZ at Heart, for the 2.3 billion children in our world who need to fall deeply in love with Jesus, please consider joining these faithful donors. Their commitments have already covered nearly two-thirds of the funds KidZ at Heart is trying to raise this month. We are well on our way, and your support will make a difference!

As a KidZ at Heart global community giving member, any size gift is helpful for reaching our goal and funding the amazing projects we have already lined up for next year. “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor 9:7, ESV).
