Just a few weeks ago our training team returned to Costa Rica to present Modules 3 and 4 of our Transforming KidZ Ministry training. Thirty-four people attended the training in two different locations in Heredia. Of those thirty-four people who were representing nine different churches, fifteen were new to KidZ at Heart’s training.

One young teacher who traveled three hours to attend the training testified to being fearful when she was asked to lead the children’s ministry at her church. She thought she didn’t know enough about the Bible or about how to teach children. In Modules 3 and 4 she was able to learn different storytelling techniques as well as how to plan out a complete lesson. She was greatly encouraged being around other teachers, and she was returning home filled with passion and a greater sense of calling.

Our team of trainers from Illinois and Colorado also had the opportunity to return to the home of a 10-year-old boy named Alex who was born with cerebral palsy. Alex’s family is praying for a much-needed surgery to fix the bones in his legs so he can walk freely and enjoy running and playing like the other children. Before the team left his house, Alex said in English, “This is the good life.”

Yes, Alex, life with God is very good indeed. All praise and glory to God who is faithful and good.
