Unexpected Focus for 2018 ~ North American Ministries

 A new year seems to always begin with a list of priorities, then strategies to reach those priorities, followed by tactics needed to meet the strategies. Though every year our department begins with a detailed plan, our highlight in the North American Ministries department during 2018 has surprisingly been in the area of God-prompted relationships. We have discovered that those developing relationships have been vital to the health of our department and to accomplishing those priorities as well.

Cambodia brought new experiences and new friends. Meet the team of nationals we trained and an article about our experience there. One of most fun times was to participate in the 27th birthday celebration of one of the nationals. It was the first time he ever had a birthday party and they decorated his cake with snowmen! Lots of good news.

My reminder from the Lord this month comes from Colossians 3:23…Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. It is easy to drift out of that truth into performing for peoples’ expectations. God has renewed my perspective. Does that verse challenge you as well?
