I was honored when I saw the comment on Facebook. Our team photographer and historian, Carol, captured a photo as the team arrived at the airport in Manzanillo and posted the photo on the team's Facebook page. Gaby, one of the attendees expecting to receive her KidZ Ministry Teacher Certificate commented, "Welcome home!"

It truly did feel like returning home. Mexico will always have a beautiful and special place in my heart. I love it all...the music, the [...]

Celebrating Engagement in 2018

KidZ at Heart is a global Christian community.

As community members engage with the ministry, I want them to personally experience spiritual formation and feel compelled to passionately and clearly share KidZ at Heart with others.

With five new staff members and a fresh approach to communications, I'm already seeing this dream become a reality!

We all have a story.

As people come on staff, join a short-term trip, attend a training, or become a part of the KidZ at Heart community [...]

“I’m ready for the next training!”

Seven of us (four returning) set off for Manzanillo, Mexico, on February 17, 2018. The first task...answering the alarm for a 1:45 a.m. ride to the airport. In all reality, most of us couldn't sleep. We were just too excited!

We conducted a second year of children's ministry training for the mamas and staff of Casa Hogar Los Angelitos and at least 12 other churches/organizations in the area. Nearly 30 people were in attendance. On a world-wide average, [...]

Development and Communications 2017

Another year of great growth! God has led KidZ at Heart staff and board members through a number of milestones as we equip people to reach and teach kids for Christ within their own culture.

Before we cover statistics, here's a great story of impact. Rather than attempting to reach one child at a time, KidZ at Heart intentionally focuses on encouraging and equipping teachers and leaders who do the hard, fun, and rewarding work of leading children, like Luis, into a growing relationship with Jesus...for [...]

Now – While the Cambodian Government is Open

Oudom recognized God’s hand on his life from an early age while growing up in an orphanage in Cambodia. Thankfully, his orphanage, his home, was led by the South East Asia Prayer Center (SEAPC). Oudom and his “brothers and sisters” became a close-knit group felt led to improve the education of Cambodian children. He searched for effective ways to interest children in learning, so they will engage in and enjoy the learning. Oudom found KidZ at Heart. [...]

KidZ at Heart is Celebrating!

Through the month of May, we conducted a campaign focused on accelerating the rate at which KidZ at Heart responds to the growing needs and invitations for training worldwide. Dozens of children’s leaders who don’t have readily available access to training and resources have invited KidZ at Heart to equip them to reach and teach kids for Christ within their own culture.

Remember Lee in Cambodia who invited KidZ at Heart to train public school teachers? What about [...]

We Go Where We’re Needed

Imagine a world where every child in every nation is on a spiritual journey towards becoming a mature follower of Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior. A child who loves God with all his heart, all his soul, all his mind, and all his strength and who loves his neighbor as himself…that child might be called a “great” child, as he lives out the Great Commandment.

KidZ at Heart’s role in that world is to [...]

Gordon West, President & Co-Founder of KidZ at Heart, was honored to talk with friends in ministry, Catalyst Services. It's a joy to share the same vision and passion for effectively reaching the 2.3 billion children in the world. In fact, the latest issue of Catalyst Services newsletter features KidZ at Heart's vision and mission strategy.

“Do Western short-term missions teams easily draw crowds of children? Yes! A few days of kids ministry will produce lots of heart-warming [...]

Forever Changed

I agreed to lead a team to Mexico despite my feelings of inadequacy and busyness. There were countless people more qualified to lead the team. I had other responsibilities with work and family. Yet God kept prompting me—kept assuring me that he wanted me to go. I agreed—for the team and for the Mexican people. What I didn’t realize was the depth of plans God had for me to go.

The people. The purpose of the short-term trip from LifeSpring Covenant Church and KidZ at Heart [...]
