El Salvador

At around 12 years of age, Carolina started helping her Sunday school teacher and soon after she was appointed teacher for Vacation Bible School. Since then, Carolina has been passionate about teaching children and connecting them with a great God.

Carolina married Alex, and they have three adult children: Alex Jr., Juan Marcelo, and Nina. In 2000, as her children were studying in a bilingual non-Christian school, the Lord led her to start an extracurricular Bible club, amongst the students. Carolina recruited other moms and started Walking Along with Jesus–Bible Club. Later she started extracurricular Bible clubs in other schools. In just one of the schools, they teach 130 children every week.

Carolina loves to learn! She earned a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Christian Ministries at Asbury University, Kentucky. Being challenged by the Lord and by so many questions the children and students asked, Carolina also studied at Bethel Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God, El Salvador, until graduation (2004-09). She was invited to represent El Salvador at the Haggai Leadership Program Training. At that time, Carolina was also invited to serve as a board member of World Vision El Salvador, serving the 130,000 children embraced nationwide.

In 2013, the Lord led her to be more active in KidZ at Heart El Salvador, including training teachers from different church denominations on the Universidad Evangélica campus. After three years at the university they have trained 250 teachers, leaders, and youth pastors, with his grace! And looking forward for more teachers, children and youth leaders being trained and equipped in El Salvador! Carolina is seeing an urgent need of a new generation of Christian leaders connected to God to transform El Salvador.
