I have been the Director of Training in Canada since January 2022. I grew up in a Christian family, giving my life to follow Jesus at the age of 7. At that time I simply wanted a “ticket to heaven”.  As I matured I started asking questions about faith, wanting to know if Jesus and His power was real. After many attempts at answering my endless questions, I was finally told, “This is something you just need to ask Jesus”.  So I did.  And He answered immediately, assuring me that He had set me apart to take the gospel to the children of Canada. I confirmed my faith in Him at the age of 12 and sought out ways to serve Him in Kids clubs and summer camps. I served in multiple capacities in my local church and as I now look back, all of these experiences have prepared me for the role I now have with KidZ at Heart.

I have been married since 1992, have four adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.  I served as a children’s pastor in The Alliance denomination for 10 years, then was recently ordained before joining KidZ at Heart.  Now I am training other children’s ministry people in creating spiritually formational spaces for children to encounter Jesus. 

I am excited to be a part of influencing both adults and children in the process of hearing God through the scripture and in conversation with Him. 

I currently live in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada, enjoying nature, time with my grown kids and grandkids, as well as leading and serving in local children’s Bible clubs where I am intrigued with the spiritual practice of meeting God in my imagination and in silence and solitude.
