European Ministries

Ministry in Europe has been a challenge recently in light of the pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine. We currently have active ministry going on in Latvia, and we are hopeful for the future to continue to expand into more countries!

An Update on Recent Training in Europe

Due to the war in Ukraine, it has been difficult to continue training in our previous networks in Europe, mainly located in Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Belarus, and Latvia.

In Ukraine, we sent teams beginning in 2017 through 2020. The pandemic caused us to stop traveling and then the war in Ukraine has completely stopped travel. Those that attended our trainings are still in their communities, still having church services, and still teaching children.

During the times of quarantine, the teachers would send lessons to help the parents have conversations about Jesus. And now during the war, they are still gathering for Bible clubs and times to build relationships with the families and their children. Some of the participants of the training have told us that they are using what they have learned from KidZ at Heart during this time.

They are helping the children build relationships through peer activities and sharing; they are telling the stories in God's word in a way that gives children the time and space to hear from him. It is exciting to hear their hearts as they continue using what God brought to them through KidZ at Heart training.

In Latvia, we have had a few opportunities to continue training. The group we are working with is outside of the capital and it is difficult to bring them together. Funds would help for travel into a more easily-accessible region. Also, in Latvia, both Russian and Latvian are spoken, but they do not mix. Thus, it would be helpful for us to have the training materials translated into Latvian.

We are prayerfully looking to see how God would have us continue training in Latvia and move into other locations close by.

Please pray that God would bring those that he wants to learn from this training, those that can help the families in their communities learn what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. Pray also that he would open doors in the places where he would have us bring training in the future!
