Tammy, her husband Curt, and their two children moved to Ohio from California 17 years ago for Curt’s work. Michala is a Third Grade Reading Intervention Teacher and Steven is a machinist. Upon moving to Ohio, they began attending and volunteering at Troy Christian Church (where they still attend). She has volunteered for VBS, taught Sunday School, helped with greeting, and was in a leadership role to put on Night to Shine through her church. During the first few years at TCC, as Tammy grew in her faith she was baptized. Through church, she met Pat McWhorter, who is COO at KidZ at Heart. She started at KidZ in March 2021. Tammy now holds the position of Director of Operations and brings a variety of skills to her position from her varied work background. Her career started as a Legal Secretary. When her children were born, she became a stay at home mom.  As her children entered elementary school, she worked as a Substitute Aide and Librarian in the school system later transitioning to a cafeteria position at a local warehouse giving her valuable customer service experience. Prayer is very important to her. She feels taking the time to talk to and listen to God helps her feel closest to Him and most at peace. The growth in training locations and staff members Tammy has seen since starting at KidZ has been incredible. She is humbled to be part of something that has reached so many people, something that helps not only children, but the adults being trained and whole families build a closer, deeper relationship with God. She is excited to see the new places God will spread KidZ training and how many more will be reached.
