An Update on Recent Training in Asia

In spite of many logistical and political difficulties, God is doing a great work in Asia! We have been able to continue training through our team of around 10 network team members in Nepal, and also introduce the training in brand new locations in Indonesia, Thailand, and South Asia.

One participant in Indonesia said, “We need to add the KidZ at Heart program to teaching kids. Our priority should be loving God and loving others as yourselves.” Another said, “When we love the Lord and other people more, we can teach this love of God better to these children.”

In Nepal, God continues to strengthen and protect the Network that is there even in spite of the fact that the country is struggling with persecution. In Indonesia, God brought together the plan to begin training with conversations that started in 2018. Through an Indonesian pastor in Colorado, we have been able to reach seminary students in Medan and meet over 30 pastors and their families that have churches in the surrounding area.
In Thailand, we were able to return after a few years due to the pandemic, etc. We also have opportunities to return to India in the future for continued training after a long absence. Also, we are planning a new training trip to a South Asia country that we can’t name for safety reasons, and we are excited for the possibilities.

God continues to open doors - bringing connections in multiple locations with interest in training. We continually get requests for training in countries that do not have the resources we do - countries that are not always easy to access. But, God almost always provides a missionary or a connection in the United States that helps us to begin conversations. In this way, we are still able to send teams to these countries even though they are so far away and the cost is more expensive.

Financial donations are greatly needed to fund trainings in these much needed areas - to send teams, to have leadership training, to get us in the door. We need partnership for our network in Nepal to build up more leadership. We are also looking for partnership to fund a VP of Programs (Asia) that would enable us to hire someone with experience in Asian cultures.
